As a family-friendly employer, we actively support our employees in balancing their professional and private lives. Our sustainable HR management is based on the tenents of social responsibility. We are convinced that a company can only be successful if it has satisfied employees. The following quotas are based on the current composition and appointment periods. As a company with an exceptionally stable workforce with staff employed for a long period of time, our goals are aligned with a realistic self-assessment.

In accordance with the law for the equal participation of women in management positions, the shareholders’ meeting of Libri GmbH in June 2017 decided on the target figures for the proportion of women on the supervisory board and in management of 0%. These targets were both met by June 30, 2022 and in the case of management positions the target was exceeded with a proportion of women of 20%.

Against the background of the current levels of equal participation and appointment periods, the shareholders’ meeting in June 2022 set new targets for the proportion of women on the supervisory board at the current level (zero percent) and on the management board at a level of 25% for the period up to June 30, 2027. This decision clearly does not express the intention to leave the proportion of women on the supervisory board at the current level on a permanent basis, but merely represents the situation that can realistically be expected on June 30, 2027 in the view of the current appointment periods, since no new appointments are intended during this time. If replacements become necessary, care will be taken as always to encourage diversity.

In June 2017, the management board decided on a target of 15% for the proportion of women in the top level of management and 40% in the second level of management in the company. By June 30, 2022, the proportion of women in the top level of management fell slightly short of the target at 10%. The reason for this was the departure of a female manager and her replacement with a suitable male candidate. As of June 30, 2022, the target for the second level of management was slightly exceeded at 42%. In June 2022, the management board set a target of 15% for the proportion of women in the top level of management and 40% in the second level of management. These targets are to be achieved by June 30, 2027.
